Berton M. Mitchell Obituary

Berton M. Mitchell passed away February 2, 2025 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born January 29, 1936 in Somerset he was the son of James R. and Mildred (Whitney) Mitchell, Sr.  Bert served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1962.  He was a custodian at the Lockport High School for 30 years and was a bus driver for 48 years. Bert loved playing  the lottery and enjoyed Garfield.


Bert is survived by his wife Gail E. (Tagg) Mitchell; daughters Kathleen (Robert) Muscato and Susan (Deb) Kranz-Mitchell; sister-in-law Joan Tagg.  He was predeceased by his daughter Lorraine C. Mitchell, and siblings Everett Mitchell, James Mitchell, Jr., Glenn Mitchell, and LuAnn Watson.


Private graveside service was held in Cold Springs Cemetery.
