Douglas Monroe Obituary

Douglas Monroe passed away January 7, 2025 at Elderwood at Lockport.  Born December 28, 1929 in Niagara Falls he was a son of Howard and Flora (Klingerman) Monroe.  Doug served in the US Army from 1951 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for the Lewiston-Porter School District where he was a Music Teacher for 30 years retiring in 1986.  Doug also taught piano form 1986-2018.  He enjoyed gun collecting and pistol shooting.


Doug is survived by his wife JoGee (Licata) Monroe; children David (Kristen) Monroe, Douglas Monroe, Casey Willowbear, Paul (Krista) Monroe, Daniel (Debbie) Monroe, and Alanna (Dennis) Siskey; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
