Richard Milano Obituary

Richard Milano “Coach” passed away December 9, 2024 in Niagara Hospice House. Born September 1, 1931 in Harlem Hospital, New York, NY, he was the son of Gaetano and Sally (Stook) Milano. Richard served in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1955. He was a teacher for the Lockport City School District. He played semi-pro football for the Lackawanna Lancers. He coached football for many years at the high school, college, and semi-pro level.


Richard was a volunteer football coach at University of Wisconsin at Platteville since 1999. Richard was a long time member of the ski patrol at Holimont. He was an avid sailor and a member of the Tuscarora Yacht Club in Wilson, NY.


Richard is survived by several friends, family members, and colleagues.


Friends may call Saturday, December 28th from 1-2 PM with services following at 2PM all in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport.
