Donna M. Rockwood of Lockport, New York entered into rest on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Born on May 9, 1929, the daughter of Cora Cathers and Harry McCarthy.  Donna owned Rockwood Farms in Lockport with her late husband LaVerne Rockwood and six children. Donna volunteered at the Dale Association and DeSales High School Bingo for many years. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Lockport, New York. Donna enjoyed traveling, bingo, bowling, gardening and especially loved spending time with her family. She spent many years of her retirement caring for her grandchildren and was known for her delicious date nut bread and homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Predeceased by her husband LaVerne, sister Dorothy (Charles) Lansom, brothers Rt. Rev. Bernard D. McCarthy and Robert (Thelma) McCarthy, sister-in-law Janet Rockwood, and brothers-in-law Floyd (Dorothy) Rockwood and Duane (Evelyn) Rockwood.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia, sons: Peter (Gabriella), Paul (Amy), James, Richard (Stephanie) and Jack. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael (Haley), Rebecca (Brandon), Alexandra (Alexander), Francesca (Daniel), Kristi (Doug) and Jeremy. And great grandchildren Elija, Aiden, Lauren, Isabelle, Josiah, Owen, and a baby girl due very soon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 20th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 21st at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
