On December 19th Hiroko (Tsuchiya) Niethe lost her battle against cancer, after 3 years from her diagnosis. Doctors gave her 6 months to live and in her true fighting spirit, she lived another two

and half years with her family and friends. Hiroko is survived by her children Bill and Chris (Gallagher) Niethe, Roger and Kris (Sweeney) Niethe, and Judy (Niethe) and Doug Snow. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Melissa Niethe, Jessica (Niethe)Wulf, and Hana Snow. And survived by her great-granddaughters Brianna and Madelyn Wulf. Hiroko is predeceased by her husband Robert Niethe. Hiroko, a native of Yokohama Japan, is the last of her immediate family: Yoshitaro Tysuchiya (Miyamoto), Hama Tysuchiya, Yoshio, Toshiko, Ume, Satoko, and Hisae. And lovingly remembered by her remaining family in Japan: Toshiyau, Akemi, and Taiga Odaira. She retired from Harrison Radiator in 1996. Hiroko was an amazing woman that loved to cook, host every family occasion, and garden. Her family would like to acknowledge the help and support from Niagara Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Niagara Hospice.
