Mary Kleinhans Obituary

Mary Alice Kleinhans passed away January 29, 2011. Born March 23, 1922 in the Town of Cambria, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Donna Catherine Campbell Meahl. Mary Alice retired in 1977 after several years in clerical work with the Niagara County Clerks Office, Department of Motor Vehicles and the Niagara County Sheriff's Department. She was very active in her church, St. Peter's United Church of Christ and after the consolidation the Lockport United Church of Christ, enjoying visiting the sick and infirmed of her congregation. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society. Mary Alice enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling where it gave her a chance to meet new people which she enjoyed immensely.


Mary Alice was predeceased by her husband Theodore R. Kleinhans who passed away in September of 2001; sister of the late Clarence and Ronal Meahl and Donna Robinson. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Lockport United church of Christ, 98 East Ave., Lockport, New York 14094 would be appreciated. Services

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
