Paul Forness Obituary

Paul Richard Forness passed away June 22, 2010 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born January 2, 1948 in Lockport he was the son of Charles and Veronica (Steblein) Forness. He worked 45 years for JW Criswell and Lock City Supply. Paul was a member of the Lockport Elks 41 and past member of the Screwball Club. He served on various fundraising and charitable event committees for both organizations. Paul was a former coach with the Lockport Little League Baseball teams and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling.


Paul is survived by his brothers C. Edward Forness of Lockport and David (Nancy) Forness of Gasport; uncle Kateri (Loren) DuBois of Barker and Daniel (Summer) Forness of Milwaukee, WI; great uncle of Thomas and Brett Taylor, Dakota Dubois, Sarah and Micah Forness; brother-in-law of Joyce (Michael) Partridge, Sandra Regan, Kenneth Sutter all of Michigan and the late Craig Sutter; also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Thursday, June 24th 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will beheld Friday, June 25th at 10 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
