Paul W. "Smokey" Stover passed away May 27, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born October 10, 1930 in Harrisburg, PA he was the son of the late Nelson A. and Mabel B. (Wance) Stover. Paul served in the US Army from 1948 to 1952 at the rank of Corporal. He was a self employed welder owning Stover Welding, Lockport for several years. Paul was an avid bowler and a member of both the PBA and ABC Bowling Associations. He was predeceased by his wife Cora (Scaccia) Stover on July 7, 2006.
Paul is survived by his sister Shelby (Henry) Griffin and two brothers Larry (Joan) Stover and David Stover; uncle of Anthony Cavalieri, Jr. and great uncle to several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
