Elizabeth "Betty" Freeman Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" M. Freeman passed away Friday May 22, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born January 30, 1935 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Green) Misner. Elizabeth worked at Lockport Memorial Hospital for 40 years as a nurses aide, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the VFW and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, enjoyed everything Elvis and loved spending time with her family.


Cherished mother of Linda (Bruce) Glena of Lockport; loving grandmother to Sara Glena and great grandmother of Dustin Ryan. She is also survived by many close and dear friends, Lawrence (Sharon) Freeman, Betty Glena, Mary Villella, Ginny Meierer, Debra Corney, Mary Tatu, Collen Oliver, Larry Rivera and Dustin Cummings, as well as several other friends. Elizabeth also will be missed by her faithful companion "Rusty" the dog, who spent many hours at her bedside.


Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be offered Wednesday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
