Jean A. Wittcop passed away on Thursday November 2, 2017 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lockport on September 29, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Rodger and Margaret Vorholzer Bedford. Jean worked at Harrison Radiator and was a member of the Hartland United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Deborah Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jean is predeceased by her husband Lewis J. Wittcop, who passed away on May 2, 2012. Jean was the mother of Norma Sturtevant (Steven), Elizabeth Seib (John), Laura Werth (John), Rodger Wittcop (Carol), Denise Caton, Roseann Heitzenrater (Joseph), Brian Wittcop (Sarah), and the late Cheryl Feuersanger (Johann) and Terrance Wittcop (Judy); grandfather of 27 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchild; She was the sister of Roger (Veronica) Bedford, Raymond (Jacqueline) Bedford, Phyllis (late Dennis) Darling, Janet (late Paul) Barger and the late James (late Alice) Bedford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday November 5, 2017 1-5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will immediately follow at 5 PM.
