Obituary of Mildred M. Bartosz

Mildred Marion Bartosz, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Bartosz. They were married for 46 years. Mildred was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist RC Church in Buffalo, where she served as Eucharist Minister for many years. Throughout her life, she enjoyed spending time outdoors including horseback riding, cross-country skiing, ice skating, walking or just sitting out in the fresh air. During WWII, Mildred worked at Bell Aircraft Corp. as a riveter in the construction of military planes. Later on, she worked in the coffee shop at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital in Buffalo, where she retired after 25 years. Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Joyce (late John) Lovetro, Lockport, NY and Joan (Tom) Rumph, Winter Garden, FL, and son, Daniel Bartosz, Appleton, NY; three beloved grandchildren, John Lovetro, Jim (Karen) Lovetro, Jeff (K.im) Lovetro and a great grandchild, Olivia Lovetro. Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 3 from 4-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan on the Lake, 3455 Ewings Rd., Newfane, NY. Memorial donations may be made, in Mildred's name, to the American Heart/Stroke Association.
