Daniel R. Braunscheidel passed away May 16, 2017 in Erie County Medical Center. Born October 22, 1966 in North Tonawanda he is the son of Gary and Darleen (Scholz) Braunscheidel. Daniel was very active with Erie County and Niagara – Orleans County Special Olympics where he participated in several sporting events. Daniel was known as a social butterfly and enjoyed helping others and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his sister; Carol (Steven) Pollard; two nieces, Cailee and Sarah; one nephew, Kyle and several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Daniel was predeceased by a brother Gary J. Braunschiedel, Jr. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 18th from 7 – 9 PM and Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10 am in Good Shepherd RC Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
