Obituary of Frances M. Scirati

Frances Marie (Barone) Scirati passed away in Absolut Care Of Gasport on April 27, 2017 with the guidance and support of Niagara Hospice. Frances was born on June 20, 1927 and was the daughter of music maestro Charles R. Barone and Mary C. (Castellana) Barone. Frances grew up and lived her whole life in Lockport. After graduating from Lockport High School she went on to study at a local Secretarial School for two years. Frances was a bookkeeper for several years for The Barone Music Shop in downtown Lockport. She spent most of her married life raising her three daughters. She loved to crochet, knit, play cards, do crossword puzzles, and play any kind of games that had to do with numbers. Frances was also an excellent baker. She was active in Home Bureau and the Knights of Columbus. She also sold Avon and Tupperware for years. Frances was the loving wife of 64 years to Rocci Scirati; the caring mother of her three daughters: Roxanne (Richard) D'Attilio of Vestal NY, Paula (James Hermann) Scirati of Denver CO and Karen (Joeseph) Schroeder of North Royalton OH; beloved grandmother of Aaron and the late Tyler and Cory Schroeder. She will remain in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6th from 9:00 am - 10:30 am in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory (St. Joseph's Church), 391 Market Street, Lockport.
