Dona K. Brooks passed away September 12, 2016 in Absolut of Gasport. Born in Rochester, NY on July 19, 1923 she was the daughter of Donald and Kathleen Kelsey. Dona graduated from Wooster College earning her bachelor's degree. She was an avid skier both downhill and cross-country, motorcyclist until she was in her 70's, enjoyed all sports and working on crafts. Dona also taught piano and organ at the Kenan Center where she was very active and loved skating and roller skating, she really enjoyed life to the fullest. Dona was predeceased by her husband Clyde Brooks June 14, 1991.
Dona was survived by her two sons Braden (Janet) Brooks and Donald (Jeanne) Brooks; grandmother of Tricia, Aaron, Allison, and Kelsey Brooks; also great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Sept. 15th from 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where services will be held Friday, Sept. 16th at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to Niagara County SPCA or Absolut of Gasport would be appreciated by the family. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
