Bertha E. Salter passed away on Saturday August 20, 2016 in Absolut of Gasport. Born in Evergreen, AL., she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Smith Windham. Bertha Quality Control Operator for Oldham Saw, in Burt, NY, retiring in 1990 after working for 34 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Bertha is predeceased by her husband Oscar P. Salter, who passed away in 1983, her sons, Robert and O. Kenneth Salter, and her five brothers and one sister.
Bertha is survived by her grandchildren Paula Vinson, Laura Alexander, Penny Salter and Kris Gilbert; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday August 22nd 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Online Condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
