Obituary of David Alan Bowen

David Alan Bowen went to be with his Lord and Savior May 19, 2016. Born December 17, 1947 in Lockport the son of Harold and Mildred (Ackerman) Bowen. David graduated from Lockport High School and went into the Army serving from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Harrison Radiator for 33 years retiring in 1999. David was a member of the Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, the Men's Ministry of the church and also helped build the church. In his free time he enjoyed doing home improvements, crossword puzzles and loved telling jokes. David is survived by his wife Betty (Wright) Bowen; father of David A. Bowen, Jr., step-father of Brian (Jennifer) Stevens, Mark Stevens and Jonathan (Lisa) Stevens; grandfather of Joshua, Jacob, Zachary, Marissa and Caleb Stevens; brother of Mary (Fred) Duchow and the late Nancy Conley an Sharon Peterson. Also survived by his brother-in-law William Peterson and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday May 22, 2016 from 1 to 5 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11 AM in the Solid Rock Assembly of God Church, 8590 Rochester Road, Gasport, NY 14067 with Pastor David Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery. Memorials to the Church in David's memory would be appreciated by the family.
