Obituary of Marion E. Nicholas

Marion E. Nicholas passed away November 19, 2015, surrounded by her three children, in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Omaha, NE on January 6, 1925 she was the daughter of Francis and Carrie Lake. Marion worked for the Town of Newfane in the Water Department where she was a clerk. She enjoyed nature, knitting, sewing, playing the piano, writing, baseball especially the Toronto Blue Jays, the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. Marion was predeceased by "the love of her life", John H. Nicholas on August 23, 1966. Marion is survived by all of her favorites, her children Michael Nicholas, Lynne (Richard) Bush, and Aimee Nicholas; grandmother of Curt (Teresa) Maslowski, Alec (Carolyn) Maslowski, Nicholas (Samantha) Bush, Lindsey (Jack) Peer, Morgan, Haley, Carly Grimm, Brent Nicholas, Alycia (Thep) Smith, and Amanda Nicholas; great grandmother of Lyla, Elijah, Tevye, Oliver, Nadia, and Avya. The Family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to Briody Health Care Facility loving Staff, for the excellent care Marion received over the past five years. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 24th from 3-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25th at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church, 6047 East Ave, Newfane, NY. Memorial donations to the American Heart Association or to the Alzeimhers Association would be appreciated.
