George J. Rosenberg passed away December 27, 2007 in Erie County Medical Center.� Born December 1, 1921 in Lockport he was the son of Franklin E. and Beatrice Dugan Rosenberg.� George graduated from Lockport High School and served in the US Coast Guard from 1942 to 1946 during WW II.� He became a fireman with the Lockport Fire Department from 1949 to 1983 retiring as the Assistant Chief.� George was very active in many local clubs and organizations including the Redmen Club, Navy Marine Club, American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post 410 and Lockport Midget League where he also served on the Board of Directors.

George is survived by his wife Shirley J. Webb Rosenberg of Lockport; father of Raymond (Evelyn) Rosenberg of Florida, Philip Rosenberg and Anna (John) Klosin both of Lockport; grandfather of Lindsey Rae Rosenberg; brother of the late Franklin (Zita) Rosenberg and Donald Rosenberg.

There will be no prior visitation.� Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
