Carol L. Thurman passed away August 18, 2007 at Briody Healthcare Facility.� Born February 28, 1929 in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Ernest and Inez Whitaker Larkin.� Carol worked as an elementary school teacher in the Niagara Wheatfield School district for several years.� She was a member of University United Methodist Church in Buffalo, Osseo Mystic Art Tyrian Chapter #386, Order of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.� Carol is predeceased by her husband Ivo M. Johnson and John E. Thurmon. � Carol is survived by her daughters Linda (Wesley) Pickreign of Gasport and Janice (Thomas) Brauer of Ransomville.� She is the grandmother of Jennifer (Paul) Cracknell, Jeanette Sheliga, Michael (Jill Callen) Pickreign, and Erin Pickreign; Great grandmother of Adam Pickreign; Sister of the late Nina (J. Richard) Carlson. � Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 PM.� Internment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery.� Memorials to Lockport Habitat for Humanity, 75 East Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation Times
