Obituary of Verna Rosenberg

Verna M. Rosenberg passed away August 10, 2007.� Born August 3, 1916 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Hugh and Ethel Mears McTigue.� Verna worked as a secretary in the rectory for St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church from 1963 to 1986 and briefly at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.� Upon leaving St. Mary's Verna worked with her husband and son at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home in office as secretary where she worked till her retirement in 2002.� Verna was a member of the St. John Altar & Rosary, enjoyed being with her family and playing bridge.� She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Gerald H. Rosenberg in July 2006.
�Verna is survived by her sons, Gerald H. (Elaine) Rosenberg of North Carolina and John M. (Linda) Rosenberg of Lockport; grandmother of Lynn (Brian) Bray, Aimee (Michael) Cain, John,Jr., Andrew (Heather), Krista, Kory (Abby), Michael, Matthew and Jeffery Rosenberg, Michelle Updegrove, Denise (Michael) Betsch, Danielle and Marc Rosenberg; great grandmother of eight; sister of Hugh (Elizabeth) McTigue of Orchard Park, Jean Chipman of Buffalo and Sr. Carol A. McTigue, SSJ of Clarence and the late Bernard and Paul McTigue and Marie Cosmano; also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
�Relatives and friends may call Sunday evening 7 to 9 PM and Monday 4 to 8 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.� Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family
